Silver is the new green
by Christoph, April 24th 2012The title might be a bit of an overstatement but I am mightily impressed by the guys from Altaeros from Massachusetts. For the windsurfers and kitesurfers amongst us we all know what a boost you get from flying your sail that much higher in the air. And the way Altaeros has delivered this is nothing short of amazing. What a beautiful and innovative way of delivering renewable energy. I am sure that a lot of wider impact assessments still have to be done before we can hail it as a perfect step forward but the signs are good.
Riverford mince pies
by Madelyn, December 16th 2011A Christmas without mince pies is not Christmas at all! Our favourites are the ones from Riverford – they are absolutely gorgeous. Like everything else Riverford offer (think vegboxes and incredible brownies), they are organic and delivered to your door. We even saw Riverford’s name near ours on the Figaro Digital Marketing Conference attendee list from November but didn’t end up bumping into each other.

Is this green?
by Madelyn, November 27th 2011At first glance this photo looks green – in the sense of environmentally-friendly, that is – but upon closer inspection it is anything but. It’s the perfect representation of why we are so proud and happy (yes, like new parents) to have created the name, brand promise and visual identity for Floreon, a compostable and recyclable biopolymer. Floreon is a renewable, low-energy PLA blend which we hope will soon replace PET, today used ubiquitously for drinks bottles and many other applications.

Labels & Labeling magazine
by Maggie, October 27th 2011
We were interviewed by the magazine Labels & Labeling for their September 2011 issue. The article is all about trends and development in modern packaging design, especially concerning printing techniques and sustainability. We were happy to share our knowledge on the subject.
Natural light
by Madelyn, September 27th 2011You may have heard of light tubes or tubular skylights which bring in natural daylight. I don’t know the starting price for light tubes including installation, but I’m guessing that it’s more than 1 or 2 pounds. Have a look at this story from the Philippines – an amazing use of appropriate technology.
